Mavis Padley

The choir today, 12th August, attended St. Martin’s Church Alfreton to support Ron Padley  at the funeral of his wife Mavis. A very moving service, taken by Julian Penfold with words from grandson Mark on behalf of all the grandchildren was a very emotional time for all in attendance. All Things Bright and Beautiful, The Lord’s  My Shepherd and Abide With Me  were chosen by Ron and the choir sang Ron’s, and Mavis’s, favourite Thats All I Want From You. Committal was at Amber Valley Memorial Crematorium and everyone was warmly invited to Palmer Morewood for refreshments afterwards. We thank Ron for the opportunity to share his memories and his generous contribution to the choir.
