Lark in the Park
Sunday 30th June saw a lovely sunny afternoon ideal for the Lark in the Park at Belper Memorial Gardens. A sizeable audience seemed to enjoy performances from the Belper Musical Theatre and Alfreton Male Voice Choir, despite the tree we were under not providing the best acoustic environment. Colin Smith , John Stamp and Mick Mullarkey provided their solo spots and the choir marched as Musketeers, roared as Pirates and sang with Alexanders Ragtime Band amongst some pleas to Let It Be Me (a choir favourite) and You’ll Never Walk Alone; Autumn Leaves fell (a little out of season) and Saints Marched In . An enjoyable afternoon.
