Civic Service Presentation
The choir was delighted to be invited to perform at the Civic Ceremony hosted by the Mayor of Alfreton, Mr John Walker, and the Mayoress Mrs Angela Walker. The ceremony took place at the Watchorn Methodist Church on Sunday 24th September led by the Reverend Joseph Tembo. After a most enjoyable afternoon of prayers, readings and singing, the choir was thrilled to be presented with a cheque for £600.00 in support of our trip to The Royal Albert Hall in 2018. You may be aware that this is a return visit, the 2015 concert being a most enjoyable experience (and we must have been OK as we are invited back). We are proud to carry the banner to bring Alfreton to the attention of the country as we journey to, and round, London.
