On Saturday evening, the choir had a most enjoyable time at St Peter’s Church, Stonebroom alongside the Junior choir. An appreciative audience enjoyed music across the generations; it is hoped that some of the youngsters will be inspired to carry on with their singing and maintain the enthusiasm that they currently have.
On Sunday we had a wonderful afternoon entertaining folk at the Belper River Gardens. We sang alongside the Belper Musical Theatre Junior and Senior Choirs, and I must say they provided an excellent programme (as, I believe, did we). We all had to battle with the tremendous heat, (which is a step change from the usual problems) but it all worked well for another year. This really was an excellent afternoon treat and I am sure the ice cream sellers were very grateful.
