Visit from Alan Glossop

At last evening’s practice (11th May) we were delighted to be paid a visit from a retired choir member who had been forced to leave due to ill health.
On 21st May 2022, the choir received a call from Ward 311 at Royal Derby Hospital to ask for our assistance with a last wish for one of their patients; the choir was able to muster seven members who made their way to hospital to grant the wish of Alan Glossop to, again, sing with Alfreton Male Voice Choir. Surrounded by doctors and nurses we gathered round the bed and Alan joined in with a few old favourites; it was a very moving experience.
