Charity Selection 2018

There are many  causes  looking for support and, as is seen from our charities page, the choir makes a selection each year as to which one will benefit from the proceeds of our annual concert performance.
At Monday evening’s  choir committee meeting we welcomed Alexa Wigfield who made a presentation on behalf of the charity  ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’. This organisation has,  for over 27 years, been dedicated to granting the wishes of children living with life threatening illness. The committee were unanimous in their wish to endorse the charity as it’s nominated beneficiary of the choir’s 2018 concert, due to take place on 6th October at the David Nieper Academy. Alexa demonstrated great enthusiasm and offered help in organisation and promotion of the event. We look forward to working with the charity and helping to realise the dreams of deserving children and their immediate families. It’s hard to imagine the burden that children  with life threatening illnesses have to endure; having an opportunity to brighten their life, however briefly, is one we are delighted to support.
